The Werefolk

The Werefolk were once regular people until they were changed. In most cases they would be driven out of their homes if anyone found out what they were. Though in some cultures they are accepted and in some it is consider a great honor to become one of the werefolk. While the Holy Rose empire hopes to wipe the werefolk off the face of the earth they may find refuge within the eastern empire. Silver weaponry seems to be the only kind that can inflict any sort of lasting wound on the werefolk. Anything else will heal up within a few hours. Their personality often tends to change to closely resemble the creature that they turn into. And they have extra human senses, strength, and speed far surpassing those of any other race. There are countless kinds of werefolk but the most common are the Werewolf, Werecat, and the Werefox.






Werewolf. Also known as Garou by the elves, Have the ability to change into a wolf. Those with an exceptionally strong will however can change into a man/wolf hybrid. The werewolves have a pack mentality. They prefer to be around other people than on their own. However they are also rather rather aggressive and territorial when it comes to people they don’t know. They are at their strongest during a full moon and at their weakest during a new moon.




A Werecat has the ability to transform into one type of feline. Like their wolf counterparts those with a strong will however can change into a man/cat hybrid. The werecat’s are an allusive breed., One never knows what they are getting when dealing with one of them. They have a tendency to be a bit selfish and lazy at times. However when properly motivated they can be quite loyal to a cause. They are at their strongest during a new moon and their weakest during a full moon. Unlike the Garou the Wereats are able to retain most of their self-control while in their cat form.




Werefox. Also known as Kitsune are a bit different than normal werefok. Unlike most other werefolk that start out as a human it is rumored that were foxes are born as normal foxes and somehow gain their powers to shift into a human. And the fact that no werefox has ever confirmed or denied these rumors doesn’t help They possess superior intelligence, Long life close to that of an elf, And a natural prowess for magic. They are rather mischievous and enjoy playing tricks on others. Their mood seems to be affected by the moon. They are at their happiest during a crescent moon, rather moody during a new moon, And more short tempered during a full moon. The easiest way to judge a Werefoxes power is by the number of tails it has. The more they have the more powerful it is. The average number is between three and five. Only one Kitsune has ever acquired nine. That particular Werefox is rumored to have been a favored pet of the Elven Goddess, slayer of the old God of the sky, and creator of the Werefolk race itself.



There are slso Sub-races of the werewolk. These individuals look humaniod for the most part save a few animalistic properties, This may be a tail, whiskers, claws, ears, or even excess body hair.
